Hi I'm Bonnie

I'm a mom, writer, designer, and I love a good laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 27 years old, a wife, mom, and proud owner of a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Linguistics. I am a gal of many interests: music, reading, writing, trying new hobbies, and traveling. I design cross-stitch patterns and other home decor. I love people and want to be friends with everyone. I love setting crazy goals (and hopefully achieve them). For instance I have wanted to read all the books in my house since I was about 8 years old. That goal is now achievable since I live in my own house and not with my parents. I love the "dadmonition" (coined by my father) "Do right, do good, do well" and try to live my life accordingly.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I found out its teachings are real and true. When I read the Book of Mormon I feel so peaceful and happy and I know that those feelings would only come if that book was what it claims to be, the word of God. And really, this is what makes me happy. It's what brings me comfort. I know that I'm a daughter of God and he wants me to live with him again someday. He's shown us the way, and that's through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As I live it, I can feel my faith grow as I recognize that the Savior loves me. That's why I'm so happy.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith daily in how I treat others. I have found that as I focus on lifting those around me I can feel the Savior's love for them. Every kind gesture seems to bring me closer to the Lord. I try to serve my husband, listen to others (reallllly listen), and be a good friend, daughter, sister, etc. And I'll probably keep trying to perfect those roles for as long as I live!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Bonnie
Heavenly Father has this wonderful plan where we can all return to live with Him when we follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As we take the steps to follow Him in this life, we are blessed, even if it is simply with peace and joy in our life. We want to show others the way to be able to return to live with God again, in a state of the greatest happiness, bonded together with their families forever. As people accept these teachings into their life now, they will be able to enjoy the blessings that come from it. We are meant to have joy in this life and the greatest joy you will ever experience is found in living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a current missionary, I realize more and more everyday how much God loves all of His children and he wants them all back with Him again someday. That is why I keep going out everyday, trying to find people who are willing to listen to the wonderful message that truth has been restored. We can find answers to life's questions, and most importantly, we can be happy along the way. Show more Show less
