Hi I'm Colin

I'm from the UK, serving the Lord, I'm a Mormon

About Me

Back in 2000 I was depressed and suicidal and thought I had nothing to live for. The Lord reached out his hand to me and I grabbed it with both hands. I've come a long way since then. Life is still challengeing but now I know who to rely on. I've been in the church for nearly 13 years and it has been a journey of spiritual growth and learning.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is organised the same way it was organised in ancient times when the Lord organised it. It has a living prophet, apostles, patriarchs just as it did when Jesus Christ was on the earth. I testify and know these things to be true.

How I live my faith

Living my faith on a daily basis can be challengeing in our world today. The things that keep me aware of who I am is my daily prayers, both morning and evening. Rembering to bless and give thanks for my daily bread. To read and study my scriptures. Since I've been in the church I've had 9 callings. These are positions in the church where I can assist the Lord in his work to build up and strengthen his church. I'm currently the High Priest Group Leader in my ward and this calling comes with great responsibility and I am honoured that the Lord called me by inspiration to fill this calling and I will magnify it to the best of my ability. This is how I live my faith.

What is being a Mormon like?

One of the greatest reasons for being here on earth is to "have joy" (2 Nephi 2:25). Personal prayer, scripture study, and attending church helps us better understand that the best way to find joy and happiness in this life is to know about Our Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to strive to keep God's "law" (Proverbs 29:18). Families are an essential part of God's Plan and much of how we live focuses on our families. We want to share the happiness we enjoy with everyone we can through service, missionary work, and contributing to society. Show more Show less
