Hi I'm Scott Mitchell

I love waking up knowing today is another chance to love my neighboor. I'm currently doing so in France as a missionary.

About Me

I love my family. I noticed often when I ask people to tell me about themselves they start by talking about their family, this rests true for me. My family means everything to me. I'm number five of eight children, a nice "average" sized LDS family. The activities I enjoy are listening to music, camping, hiking, watching movies, reading, speaking french, and a little golf now and then. I worked in a video productions studio as well as a minigolf fun center before taking off on my mission. I especially love making people happy, if I can make people smile I feel like I'm helping them. If they go so far as to laugh they're helping me. I've made it a personal goal of mine to help everyone around me feel of God's love, joy happens to be one of the greatest gifts of God.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born in the church I began to question if the traditions of my parents was true when I entered into my teenage years. Finally I decided it was necissary to pray and ask my Heavenly Father for myself if this was true. Just like the Book of Mormon invites to pray with sincere heart and a real intent I prayed to know if His church is true. It took me a long time to receive an answer but luckily now I can share this testimony with others. Now my relationship with my Heavenly Father is stronger than ever, I found it was really strengthed by prayer and constant scripture study. I know I can talk with my Heavenly Father with prayer any and all the time, and I know He hears me.

How I live my faith

I would have to say that I had a struggling testimony until I became a missionary. My mission is changing my life, it's amazing that I have the opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone I meet. As a missionary all my time is given to helping people come unto Christ by teaching them the restored gospel. At first I saw it as maybe an occasion to give back to God as a payment of sorts for everything He's given me, but now I see that this is impossible because He just keeps giving and giving.

How can I know Mormonism is true?
