Hi I'm Kerrianne

I'm a mormon

About Me

I am a recent newly wed. I married my best friend on September 4th 2010. My husband works construction so he is constantly moving from state to state fixing our nations highways. I enjoy getting to travel to visit him.Right now I work for a company that helps students in default prevention with their student loans. Its a very rewarding job to let someone know of their options and help them out so that they do not go into further debt. In my free time I love to read. I like Jodi Picoult novels, and reading my scriptures as well. I go for walks around the neighborhood nealry everyday. I love the fresh air. The neighbors we have are so friendly, its hard not to be in a good mood when they say hello. In the furture I hope to have a big family, and be able to move out to the west coast.

Why I am a Mormon

When my husband and I first started dating I was not active in any church. I met his family and learned they were mormon. I had a lot of questions for them because the things I thought I knew about the religion I didnt understand and some I didn't even agree with. I started to attend church on a regular basis and after awhile I began taking the lessons with the missionaries. They were very helpful. I knew I truely believed in the church because I realized every answer to every question I had asked I never second guessed. It all felt right. When I was getting my baptism interview I was asked how I believe in Joseph Smith and what he did for us. My answer was "How could I not?" It's one of those gut feelings. I would like to share my testimony that this is the true church. Jesus Christ is our savior. Through the power of prayer, faith, and totally understanding I know our Heavenly Father loves us all. I have been through many challenges, but in the end I realized Heavenly Father would not put us in those postions if we werent meant to work through them. I am eternally grateful that we have been given the opportunity to live here on earth. I love all my brothers and sisters and I know we will return to our father in heaven one day. I say all these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I attend Church every Sunday. I invite the missionaries over for dinner as much as possible. I love to learn from them still, and enjoying cooking them a good meal. I recently helped out at a funeral for a girl who had passed away. I did not know the girl but felt that if help was needed and I had time, I must be there. I have just gotten my first calling, or two I should say. I am now the Yound Women's Personal Progress Coordinator and also the Young Women's Camp Director. I feel both of the callings are going to be good for me. I love the opportunity I have to get to know the the young women and also to be a true part of the church and be able to help those around me continue to grow within.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

The Temples are a very sacred place, not to be mistaken for a secretive place. A few of the ordinances preformed are baptisms for the dead, sealings for marriages and personal endowments. Ultimately, we should all strive to be able to attend the Temples so that we can be closer to our Heavenly Father. Because we have to meet certain requirements inorder to attend, we are already on the path to being as much like him as we can. Show more Show less
