Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a husband to a wonderful wife, and father of three young, very active boys. I enjoy spending time with my family, summer BBQs, playing sports, and just being outdoors. I’m just starting my chosen career and I’m experiencing the excitement and uncertainty that comes with this phase of life.

Why I am a Mormon

Family, hope, comfort, and love. That pretty much sums up why I am a Mormon. My family means more to me than anything. Being a father has changed the way I look at life. I never knew I could love like I love my wife and kids, and I want that love to continue forever. I know that through the gospel of Jesus Christ that families can be together forever, and that brings me great peace and hope. There is so much uncertainty in the world today. Just watching the nightly news, it can get downright depressing and scary. But I have hope. That hope comes from my belief and trust in a plan of happiness. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who wants us to be happy. It doesn't mean life will always be easy and pain-free, but I have hope that I can overcome the hard times as I put my trust in God and rely on Him. As I have experienced my own personal trials, the gospel of Jesus Christ has also provided me with great comfort. Just reading the words of the Bible and Book of Mormon, and hearing the words of living prophets has given me so much comfort. This has become one of the greatest blessings in my life and a way to truly hear messages specific to me. I’m a pretty simple minded person so I don’t always understand everything, but it’s how I feel when I read or listen to the prophets that brings me comfort. I feel warmth. I feel comfort. I feel love. I know they are true because of these feelings. I know that Heavenly Father loves me. I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior. I know that Jesus gave His life for us, because of love. He knows my name. He knows my struggles, pains, and weaknesses. Through Him, I can be with my family forever. Through Him, I find hope and comfort. I love Him. And that’s why I’m a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example for my family in everything I do. I hope that my actions in the home, at sporting events, at work, and everywhere in between point others toward Jesus Christ. In my community, I am able to provide service as a youth leader (scouts and religion). I get the opportunity to visit families as a in our neighborhood as a "home teacher" and provide service, share messages of faith, and offer love and support whenever needed. All of this makes life extremely fulfilling, and helps me feel the Savior's love for me personally.
