Hi I'm Gary Harper

I am a Farmer in Idaho and a Mormon

About Me

My wife, Susy and I have lived and farmed in Idaho since 1972. We are the parents of 6 children of which all are now married. We have 21 Grandchildren. We have raised our family on this 4,300 acre farm growing Sugar Beets and Wheat. It has been a great life. We have lots of hobbies like Boating, Snowmobiling, Traveling, Biking and visiting the family. This year we have retired from the farm by selling it to our 3 sons. We have been spending some time in St. George, Utah and recently participated in the Huntsman World Senior Games. We have received a mission call to serve in the California, San Jose Mission for 1 year. We will serve with Young Single Adults in the area of San Jose State University. Life is great!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but really gained a belief in Christ when I had a little brother die and went through this with my family. We became more active and as I served a mission to South Africa, I learned to love all people and realized that God has a plan for all of us. We are special to him and the Savior's atonement gives us hope and faith to make it through all of life's challenges.

How I live my faith

I love Sunday's and the promise of keeping the Sabbath Day a special day to worship and be with people and serve each other. I feel that it is important to be involved in our community to the extent that we help everyone out and support each other. It is great to see people involved and happy. I have served with the youth most of my life. I find it very rewarding and enjoy seeing them make good choices and finding true happiness which the Gospel of Christ bring to each of them
