Hi I'm Tricia

I work for Teach for America. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school Spanish teacher. I am the guardian of my little sister. We like going to our school's football games, painting, run in the morning and spending time together and with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I was a young, maybe 12, I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. In an instant I knew that God loved me, that this is His church and that I could receive answers to my prayers. As I have taken the time to build on those understandings my life has become more full, rich and happy.

How I live my faith

I believe that Christ wants us to look out for and take care of each other the way he watches over us. So I try to listen to and serve others as much as possible. I also believe that he has given us a great gift in our bodies and we have a responsibility to take care of and protect them. I believe I can honor that trust by not drinking alcohol, using tobacco or any other habit forming substance. I believe that families are precious and sacred and so I try to spend time with mine and build strong relationships based on the principals Christ taught, like faith and charity. I also look forward to starting my own family and am preparing now by abstaining from sex before marriage and learning as much as I can about Christ now so that someday I can use that knowledge to help my family be happy and successful.
