Hi I'm Emil...

... and I'm LDS - a "Mormon"!

About Me

I'm a proud father of four, a devoted husband, a surfer, a rock climber, and avid back country hiker. I write software for my profession, and serve our country diligently with the United States Coast Guard. I am a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and will shortly be Master of Science in Software Engineering. I love to have good clean fun to challenge myself and better my family and my friends through rich life experiences. I can honestly say that I lived my life for twenty years without the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I wouldn't pass up all those experiences if I had the chance again. But since I've become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I've enjoyed richer blessings in my life, knowing where I came from, where I'm going, and what my true purpose in life is. While I play hard at my extracurricular activities, I still keep my passions in check, and keep my priorities in their proper order Family first, serving others, work, and play. By doing so, I feel like I can enjoy those play times more, knowing that I'm not letting other priorities slip. Men are, that they might have joy. - 2 Nephi 225 The Lord wants us to be happy, and to have joy in our lives. As we align our will with his, we can experience true joy. I believe it!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with a different faith, and found interest in our church when I was 20 years old. At that time, I found that the missionaries who taught me could answer many of my questions about who I really am, where I came from, why I'm here, and where I can go when I leave this earthly state. I believe in Jesus Christ, and the restored gospel, and this belief now defines me. :)

How I live my faith

I serve others with passion, and I believe that I find true happiness in serving others, and seeing the joy which I can help bring into their lives. The Lord blesses my family and me for this service. I am young well, I'm 40..., and I keep my body in good health and condition by feeding it the good stuff, and keeping the bad stuff out. By doing so, I keep myself prepared to not only play at top performance, but to serve whenever I'm called upon. I don't want anyone to ever say, "We could ask Brother Moster to help, but he's not doing well himself... so let's ask someone else." Along with keeping my body in top physical condition, I keep my Spirit and my mind in top condition as well. Again, I feel it is important to be prepared to put the gospel in action at any time, when called upon. I've grown to love reading the scriptures daily, as a family, and everyone expects that we will when 800 or 830 rolls around in the evening. We study together in our home, always inviting the Spirit to be there in our home, with us, and we treat our home like a sanctuary It's a safe haven for children and parents alike. It's a place where we can feel protected from the dangers of our world and our society now and it's a place to rejuvenate mind and body alike. By following the Lord's commandments and adhering to the "Basics" like attending church, reading scriptures, and praying often I feel like I keep my moral "compass" pointed in the right direction. Knowing these things knowing the truth to some of those things which were mysteries for me before, give me the confidence to go forth each day and to live the gospel which I've come to know and love.

What is the priesthood?

Emil...
The priesthood is the authority of God, restored to the earth again in our times. It was present on the earth in the ancient times, and has been restored again for those who hold it to bless the lives of others through service. Show more Show less
