Hi I'm Rachel

I work, I am a college student, I am a wife, and I enjoy baking. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was married in March 2010 in the Bountiful Utah Temple to my handsome husband. We live in Fort Wayne, Indiana and I work at a bank. Both my husband and I are studying to be teachers. My most favorite place is Seaside, Oregon where all my extended family meets every year. Before I got married I spent 2 months in Ghana, Africa. I volunteered in a orphanage of 80 + children, probably one of the neatest experiences you could ever have. I love to hike, backpack, and camp!!! The outdoors is my playground!

Why I am a Mormon

Being born into an LDS family, I have always had it surrounding me. Even though the gospel is the one thing that has kept me going, I still have questioned the validity of what I have been taught. When ever I have questions, I have always found the answers in scriptures; either the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, or the teachings of latter day prophets. I feel this connection within me that I can't shake, I know without a doubt, this is the truth. This truth gives me a purpose and the knowledge of what me and my family need to do to prepare for the next life.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by trying to choose the right everyday, though I am not perfect. I also teach a Sunday school class for the 5 year-olds in my congregation. I attend service projects that the church plans as well as some within my community. I visit with other women every month, during this time we invite the spirit in and discuss how we can better our lives, as well as support them in their own life. One of the most important things I do to live my faith, I pray, everyday.
