Hi I'm Jacy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a real estate agent and licensed for about 15 years. I am married and my husband is a custom home builder, architect and remodeler. We have a blended family of adult children, except for a 16 yr old daughter living at home and a 19 year old daughter that will be going to BYU in the Fall of 2012. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church for about 2 yrs now. I attended a large Baptist church for many years and was very involved and active there. i had been single for many years and met the most wonderful guy (which is now my husband) and began dating him. He was Mormon. We had many discussions about our different faiths and he was prompted to give me a copy of the Gospel Principles book and a set of scriptures, so I could read about it on my own. After reading the first 4 or 5 chapters of the Gospel Principles book, I realized there were answers to so many questions that I could not get answers to at my church. Shortly after I wanted to be baptized into the church so I took the lessons from the missionaries and was in deed baptized and confirmed.

How I live my faith

I attend church each Sunday. I also love to listen to the Apostles of the church give their testimonies. The Sprirt of God is so evident in their messages and their lives. General Conference, twice a year, is very important to me because we hear from them along with the prophet and their talks are very uplifting and encouraging to me as I strive to follow God's commandments. If we follow God's ways, our lives are richer, fuller and better because Heavenly Father knows what's best for us, much more than we know for ourselves.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Jacy
You can increase your faith in Jesus Christ by praying to Him, reading your scriptures, attending church services, and loving your neighbors as yourself. Prayer is communication to our Heavenly Father, he knows our needs before we ask, but WE have to ask to open the door of communication. He does not force Himself upon us. As you continue in prayer and studying scriptures you will begin to learn more about Him and how He guides our lives in the direction of that leads us back to Heaven. When you surrender your life to Him and become baptized & confirmed you will have His Spirit to be with you always and the Holy Ghost ministers to us by quiet promptings to confirm to us that he is there for us. Serving others as Christ did as he walked on this earth will increase our faith as well. Many times in the mode of service we learn more about Christ as we watch Him work in others lives through selfless efforts that we offer to them. What a blessing to see Heavenly Father change anothers life for the better. This will grow your faith :) Show more Show less
