Hi I'm Stephanie

I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father!

About Me

I am an ordinary person with a beautiful family, and have been given more blessings in this life than I probably deserve! I know that I am a child of God, and I try to live my life each day in a way that is pleasing to my Father in Heaven. My husband and children are my greatest treasures, next to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which gives me the opportunity to be united with them forever, even after this mortal existence! Because it wouldn't be Heaven without my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I choose to be. My parents raised me in the church. I feel that it is important for people to understand that my testimony was never forced on me, although I was expected to attend church while growing up. My parents gave me the tools I needed to decide for myself, as well as be able to experience my own witness of the truthfulness of the Gospel. Many different life experiences continue to point me in the direction of Jesus Christ. I can not imagine my life without the Gospel! Life makes sense and I am able to feel peace when I trust in the Lord. I'm a Mormon because I want to be! And because I know Heavenly Father wants me to be!

How I live my faith

Share what I live and live what I share. :-)

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Stephanie
I love being outdoors and in nature and being able to experience the wonder of creation. In my experience, the beauty of nature manifested all around me quite clearly demonstrates inarguable evidence that this earth we live on and the universe in which we reside was not some happen-chance thing. Order is found all around us, if we will be still but for a moment to take that in and examine it. I realize that there are many who reject the idea that our very existence was brought together by a loving and supreme being. So to them I answer with this, that MY proof that there is a God, comes from within me. It's a feeling and a knowledge that I cannot deny. And because our God is so loving, he has given everyone the ability to ascertain for themselves whether he is there or not. The stars in the sky and other marvelous things found in the natural world just further testify to me that God exists. Because of the Restored Gospel we can know and understand the nature of God. What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Stephanie
The Mormon lifestyle is seemingly very strict. It requires that you take one day off per week (Sunday) to go to church, spend time with your family and rest, it requires that you follow the Word of Wisdom and avoid drugs, alcohol, tea, and any other addicting substances which can make for a very sober weekend (while simultaneously adding years to your life), it requires that you participate in those pesky, family-strengthening activities on Monday nights, it requires that you get down on your knees and pray with your family, have meals together, choose the right in your daily life, attend the temple and receive blessings for you and your family, and it requires faith that Heavenly Father will help you when things are going both right and wrong in your life. It's a hard life, being a Mormon. Knowing who you are and where you came from carry a heavy responsibility, and we are required to share that knowledge with others so that their lives may be blessed too. But otherwise, Mormons are just ordinary people, living their lives to the best of their ability except perhaps with a bit more optimism because of the knowledge of life after death, resurrection, and most importantly, of our Savior Jesus Christ and a loving Heavenly Father who have shown us the way to return back to them.
