Hi I'm Rebekah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the seventh and middle of thirteen children. That's right! My family is huge, and I love it. I love jazz music, cooking, dating, and making my own jewelry. I was part of a folk-dance group that performs authentic dances from countries all around the world. My favorite dances are the Bhangras from India. I also love the colorful, authentic costumes. I am learning American Sign Language and hope to become an interpreter. Currently, I live with 5 other girls (students of my university) who are trying to learn sign language and we challenge ourselves to communicate in sign.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know I am a child of God. He cares about me and wants me to return to Him. I know that He has given His authority to prophets and apostles which are on the earth today. They have the authority to lead the Church God established and approves here on earth. I know that He is the Head of the Church and that it abides by His law and revelation. The very best, most happiest times in my life have been connected to my faith...not only what I believe, but the pathway I choose to follow: the one guided by God's prophets.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through prayer. It is in sincere prayer that I feel God's love and direction to me. God answers my prayers. I also study His word everyday in the scriptures and teaching of His living prophets. In these ways, I get to communicate to God and understand His words for me. When I do these two things, I feel at peace and full of happiness. I know those feelings are God's Spirit in my heart and mind. When I do what is good and right, I feel those feelings. So, I live my faith by doing what pleases God and invites His Spirit in my life: obeying His commandments, praying to Him, and studying His word.
