Hi I'm Dalton

I love music and the ocean. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student majoring in Neuroscience and am planning on going to medical school. I grew up in California near San Diego. I love the beach and the mountains. Most of my break time is either spent up in the mountains hiking and fishing or hanging out on the beach body surfing and throwing around a frisbee. I love spicy Mexican food, Italian food, and the occasional Thai or Indian food.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon and I have found nothing else that makes me as happy as being Mormon. I am pretty normal guy but the direction that I receive because of my faith helps me get through life. It gives me the hope that I need to make it through the hard times and perspective to enjoy the good times. My faith in Christ and knowing that I am a son of God give my life purpose and meaning. I know that Joseph Smith was a modern prophet of God and that there is a prophet on the earth today. I have felt the Holy Spirit telling me that these things are true. Everyone is entitled to that same opportunity to find out if it is true. All they have to do is ask.

How I live my faith

I go to a young single adult congregation. I do my best to help all of my peers succeed in there everyday lives, which usually involves school and work, and help them grow closer to their savior, Jesus Christ. I teach a class at church about once a month and often visit church members outside of church to share a scripture with them and see if I can do anything to help them. I do my best to help anyone that I come in contact with, usually in simple ways like holding open a door, letting someone in during traffic, or just a friendly hello.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, not everyone. It is strongly encouraged that young men starting at nineteen years old go out and serve, but it is not required. Show more Show less
