Hi I'm Cindy

I'm a wife and mother. I'm a daughter and sister. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of three wonderful children. I work in the Special Education Department for the school district in our area. This has been a great help to me as my second child is a special needs child. He has Asperger's Syndrome which is a form of high functioning Autism. I love to spend time with my family, playing games or going on outings. It's fun to see my children growing and developing a love for the gospel. To see them stand up for what is right among their friends is inspiring. I enjoy a good book but seem to have less and less leisure time to do this.

Why I am a Mormon

I rely on my relationship with my Heavenly Father to help me through difficult times. As I struggle with the ups and downs of life, I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to succeed. I know that He will answer my prayers and will give me inspiration. As I focus on the eternal aspects of life, the little day-to-day issues matter less. I'm grateful that my family relationships can continue beyond the grave. For me, being with my family forever is the ultimate goal.

How I live my faith

I am currently in charge of the church program for children ages 18 months to 11 years old. I spend time developing lessons to teach these children the basics of the gospel. We emphasize prayer, faith, repentence and baptism. I enjoy finding creative and interesting ways to present these ideas to kids. It's so amazing when you see a child's eyes light up when they understand a concept for the first time. At home, my family and I live the gospel, by holding family prayer daily. We seek for ways to help others. I try to remember the example Jesus Christ has set for us and to respond or react as He would.

Are Mormons Christians?

I'm always suprised by this question as the name Jesus Christ is in the official name of the church. We are The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love Jesus Christ and honor him as my Savior. Without Him, no one would be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father. Each person makes mistakes in this life. Jesus Christ's atonement made it possible for us to repent and be forgiven of our sins. We strive to live our lives in harmony with His teachings. Show more Show less
