Hi I'm Don

I'm a Mormon. Raised on a dairy farm and employeed as a manufacturing engineer. Married and have 7 children & 7 grandchildren.

About Me

I am tall and enjoy being with and supporting family. My hobbies seem to reflect family interests including sports, singing base, hiking outdoors, mountain vistas, and even small plane rides. Inventing and designing gadgets that help others use current resources gives me satisfaction. Would rather work on a service project with others than engage in costly entertainment. My goal is to try to help others succeed. My life centers around family and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Christ's love and atonement gives me hope and strength in all phases of my life. I have experienced employement down sizings while being single bread winner for family. Being unemployed or self employed has been one of the most difficult challenges so far in my life, but must acknowledge that I felt a strength and comfort during these times that as I kept trying a door was always opened.

Why I am a Mormon

I know we are never alone in this life unless we choose to be. Prayer to Our Heavenly Father is always available through Jesus Christ. He has shown us the way and is continuing to direct us through his ordained prophets in our day. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His organization to bless us. The Book of Mormon with the Bible can be a personal source of revelation in all of the challenges today. I love the peace I feel as I study them and live the principles contained in them. The priesthood of God is restored on the earth today, through which we can receive eternal ordinances to return and live as resurrected beings with Christ. Through this priesthood power our families can be blessed. I have witnessed healing miracles through its power multiple times. I continue to find joy in helping others feel the love of our Savior, the truths of His teachings and serving others. My desire is to valiently follow the example of our Savior as my parents and grand parents have. I have seen their greatest joy was expereinced through their childrens obediance to the Gospel principles and being honorable citizens in the communities they were a part of.

How I live my faith

Every day making the scriptures part my life. Looking up and remembering I am a child of God, that He loves me and will be with and direct me if I will trust in Him and His teachings. I live my faith by supporting my wife and children, grandchildren and those in my circle of influence.
