Hi I'm David

and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently in my second year of university studying with the final goal of being a doctor. I hope to be either a regular family doctor or (if i decide to specialize) a pediatrician as I love working with children. I also love music and currently play the French Horn in the wind ensemble of my university. In the small amounts of time I have open between studying and going to classes I love reading, writing, hiking, listening to music and hanging out with friends. Its a crazy life but i love it!

Why I am a Mormon

As said above its a crazy life. There is an almost overwhelming amount of stuff to do and not nearly enough time to do it all in. The only thing that keeps me sane and optimistic in the face of all of this is my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Being able to take a few hours every week and go somewhere I can leave all my worries and problems with school behind and just focus on my relationship with my God is what gives me the strength to do my best the other however many hours of the week. I have been a member of the church since birth and it has been a blessing to me in every part of my life. I choose to be a member because it is what holds me up and keeps me strong and happy. I have never experienced anything but joy and peace as a result of my being a member of the church and i do not think i ever will. It is the single most important and wonderful thing in my life!

How I live my faith

My identity as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints forms a great deal of who I am and how I spend my time. The most obvious things that a person would notice about me are that I don't drink tea or coffee, I don't drink alcohol of any kind and I don't swear. On a deeper level however I believe strongly in the teachings of Jesus Christ. I do my best to be a good friend to those around me, I pray often, study the scriptures (both the Bible and the Book of Mormon) on a daily basis and keep the Sabbath by going to church and trying to avoid any purchases or activities which would offend the Spirit of the Lord. It may seem like a great deal to do and keep track of but I have consistently found that this is the number one best way to be happy. As I grow closer to God, my life becomes more peaceful, fulfilling and satisfying.
