Hi I'm Jennifer

I grew up in So. California. I'm a wife, mom & photographer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 4 beautiful children. I walked away from a beloved career in Patent Prosecution to be a full time mother. Managing our family is wonderful and crazy! In addition to loving my family, I also have interests in the arts and technology. I am totally enjoying fusing the two together with digital photography.

Why I am a Mormon

I was converted when I was 17 years old. I was raised in the LDS Church, but I didn't have the understanding of the full value of the Church until I began to seek out a sincere understanding of who I am and what is our purpose here on Earth. My conversion is very special to me as I have been able to endure many of life's hardships because I know that I have Father in Heaven watching and caring for me each moment. My testimony has been received through prayer, & reading the scriptures (including the Bible and the Book of Mormon). I have a complete desire to try to be worthy of the many blessings Heavenly Father has given to me and I show my gratitude through trying to help other people's lives be a little better. I am always trying to follow the examples set by our Savior, Jesus Christ. I cannot imagine the burden placed upon Joseph Smith to restore the original church of Jesus Christ at such a turmultuous time. I am in awe when I think of the sacrifices he made and am inspired by his strength and courage. I know he was indeed a prophet of God. The gospel of Jesus Christ is everything to me, and I know that this church is the true gospel that Jesus Christ taught us, restored in it's fulness, with prophets leading and guiding us today just as they did long ago.

How I live my faith

I enjoy being a parent helper at our elementary school, serving on school committees, sewing costumes for school plays, being room mom and arranging holiday parties/activities for the children. Last spring, I was able to serve the boys in our community by being the Little League Farm team manager. Such fun! The economy here has been tough and none of the dad's were able to sacrifice their time, and so I'm glad I was able to step up so the boys could play. For 6 years I got to serve on our city's New Year's Eve Event committee with another dear friend from church. Each year we aided in determining the big and little details involved with arranging this event. Then, on the night of, we set up and work game booths or whatever else needs to be done. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know lots of amazing people who work hard to make our city extra special. I have a passion for music, and have really enjoyed decorating our church building for our Christmas choral concert each year. Singing in this event is so rewarding and my children are old enough to sing in the children's choir now as well! This is always a lovely weekend and this event is open to our community each year, for all to come and rejoice in the birth of our Savior through spiritual hymns of tribute. I love having many opportunities to serve others and strive to express my gratitude for all the gifts God has given me through serving others.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mormon's help everyone in the world regardless of religion. My 1st thought goes to the parable Jesus taught us of the Good Samaritan. Mormons follow the gospel of Jesus Christ and he has told us to "Go and do likewise." I know it is a commandment to serve ALL of God's children. It just makes sense. Show more Show less
