Hi I'm Corey

I'm a Father and Husband, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dad of 3 beautiful girls and an awesome little boy. I've been married to my wife for 14 years. We met while attending college. We both were raised, in what most people consider a very small towns, and yet we live in a smaller town, in the mountains. I am an electrician and work with my father. We own and operate a small electrical company. I am what you would call an outdoor enthusiast. I love to hike, mountain bike and spend time in the mountains with a whole variety of activities. Namely, fishing! I love flyfishing most of all, but my favorite activity is spending time with my family. I am trying to teach my children to love the outdoors as much as I do. We do everything together whether it is hiking or biking or just riding in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Because this is the single greatest way to live. I wake up every morning with a smile on my face, knowing that today no matter what happens, I will have the blessings of the Lord. This does not mean that there are not bad days, because I have as many bad days as anyone. It just means, that no matter how bad the day gets the Lord will be by my side and pull me though. He is always there watching over me, protecting me and strengthening me. It says in the Bible that if the burden (load) you are called on to carry is to heavy, if you ask for the Saviors (Jesus Christ) help, your burden will be light. This is for real, he will carry your load, but you have to ask with faith and do everything in your power. This is why I wake up with a smile on my face each day. Several years ago, I found myself questioning my faith. I was not sure that what I had been taught all my life was true. I had just committed to two years of my life as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I could not follow through if it was wrong. So I decided to find out for myself if it was Christ's church or not. I had decided that if I found it to be wrong I would be on the next plane home, but if it was his church, I would serve. I went to the Lord in Prayer and I asked the all important Question. I recieved an answer from the Holy Ghost that it was his church, not by words or visions, but by a sweet peaceful feeling. My heart was filled with joy and I knew this was his church and it was right. I know that this is Jesus Christs Church and it is lead by him. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a Mormon because of the peace of mind I have by living the gospel. Many people today hate rules and laws, they say they are confining. I find rules and commandments to be very much the opposite. Gods commandments and laws serve only to provide you with greater freedom, increased happiness, joy and the peace of mind that are sought by all. The more obediently that I live the commandments the more rewarding and peaceful my life is.
