Hi I'm Krista

I'm a college student studying bioinformatics and genetics, hoping to study genetics of human diseases. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a junior in college. I love playing the piano and guitar. One of my favorite hobbies is baking desserts. I have only sisters, and gained a brother-in-law a few years ago.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because living the gospel makes me happy! It is a stabilizing influence in my life, and always provides me with the comfort and confidence I need to move into a future that isn't always sure. I can always find the answers to questions in my life through the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Each week I attend meetings at a ward especially designated for single college-age young adults. Each Monday night we meet in groups and do a lesson and activity. I am in charge of helping to organize these groups.

What is faith?

Faith is believing without seeing. It is to believe that there is a God and that we have a Savior, Jesus Christ. It is realizing that we cannot always see the outcome, but our Heavenly Father can, and He will not let us fail if we trust in Him. In my life, faith is what gives me courage to keep progressing in life. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

The world around me is evidence enough that there is a God. This earth is filled with so many beautiful creations that show the work of a loving God. Most of my college classes are science classes, and studying the various fields of science has actually helped me strengthen my belief in a God. So many pieces of science are so detailed and phenomenal, that there is no conceivable way for them to exist without the direction and control of God. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

I believe that the Church is growing like it is simply because it truly is God's Church on the earth today. Living the principles of the Church brings joy into our lives now and gives us hope of a greater and more wonderful eternity to come. The blessings of the Church are so remarkable that people realize that it is something that they truly want in their lives. Show more Show less
