Hi I'm Audra

I love being with my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I recently celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary! We have four wonderful children and one wonderful son-in-law. Some of my favorite things are doing things with my teenage and pre-teen daughter like going for walks in the park, receiving emails from my 21 year old son who’s sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people in Brazil, phone calls, text messages, and visits from my married daughter and son-in-law, and talking with, spending time with, and going on dates with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints is Christ’s church on the earth today. I know that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and wants us to return to live with him someday. He has given us a plan so that we can be happy here on earth and prepare to return to live with him and our families forever. This plan of happiness is made possible through our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that “there is none other name given under heaven save it be this Jesus Christ, … whereby man can be saved.” 2 Nephi 2520 The Holy Ghost, which Christ promised he would send, has witnessed to me that these things are true. I am grateful that I have been blessed with this knowledge and testimony and that I can share it with my children so that they can know their purpose in life, find joy and peace in this life, and be prepared for the life to come.

How I live my faith

I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I live my faith as I try to follow His example and keep His commandments. I am not perfect, but I know that He can help me become what He wants me to be. He has said, “Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 183 I am grateful for the opportunity that I have to work with leaders and teachers of children from congregations in our area and to learn from their example and the example of the sweet children that they teach. The theme for the children’s group in the church, children ages 18 months through 11 years is “All thy children shall be taught of the Lord and great shall be the peace of thy children.” As a parent I am grateful to be able to teach my children the gospel of Jesus Christ and I am also grateful for teachers and leaders who support my husband and I in this responsibility as they share their testimony of and love for Jesus Christ and His gospel with our children. A while ago, my daughter and I took a walk to a nearby lake. We saw a mother duck and her baby duck sitting on the edge of a dock overlooking the lake. We told each other what we thought the ducks might be thinking. I said I thought the little duck was saying to his mother, “You want me to go in there?!” I am grateful that as we send our children “out there” into the world, we can send them with the assurance that they have been taught about our Heavenly Father and their Savior Jesus Christ and His gospel. Our children can experience peace in this life because they can feel their Savior’s love for them and know that it is the Savior that is guiding them through this life and back to their Heavenly home someday..
