Hi I'm Ron

I grew up in Virginia, but now I am raising four little Minnesotans. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

One of my passions in life is raising four rambunctious boys. It is loud and crazy sometimes, but I love it. When I get enough spare time (and wind) I also enjoy sailing our family boat that my father built when I was a kid.

Why I am a Mormon

The main reason why I am a Mormon is that I can see no other path in life that can ultimately get me where I want to go. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Is it demanding? . . . Yes. But trying my best to follow my Savior by keeping my life in order and reaching out and helping others brings me peace and a sense of satisfaction that is wonderful. It is a struggle sometimes to do what is right, but it is always worth it in the end. I was lucky. I was raised in the church. My mother and her family have been members for several generations. My father joined the church as a young man. I was raised in a home where prayer, faith, and other virtues were taught and expected. I cherish having grown up in a Christian home and I am grateful to parents that taught me to follow Christ.

How I live my faith

I am a leader of a men's group in my local congregation. I help coordinate monthly visits where members of the church go out to teach one another and help with any concerns that families might have. We also reach out to help others with more dire needs. One of my biggest thrills is to help members of the church find employment to allow them to provide for their families.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Ron
An ideal family where husband and wife love each other and parents protect, love, and nurture their children is the model that God intended for life. A family provides a refuge from the storms of life. A family makes a home. The family provides a way to learn from the strengths of each other and how to help each other. The happiness that I get from the relationships with my wife and sons is great! Show more Show less
