Hi I'm Josh Wilson

I love movies. I love sports. I love my wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student who is trying to figure out what I want to be if I decide to grow up. I enjoy watching movies, math, science, reading, sports, eating, and spending time with my beautiful wife Jessica. Right now I am a physics major with a minor in mathematics and I am considering becoming a physics professor.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know with absolute certainty that it is only through following the teachings of Jesus Christ and accepting his Atonement in our lives that we can find true peace in this life and eternal joy after we pass on. The full understanding of Christ's Gospel was lost from the earth through wickedness, but because the sacrifice Jesus made was so important our Heavenly Father once again appointed a prophet in our day. Through this prophet God revealed in full His plan for our happiness and salvation. I know that this is true because I have felt the Holy Spirit touch my heart and reveal it to me. As further evidence I have witnessed the blessings that living the Gospel has brought into my life, and the lives of my family members. I have also witnessed the heartache and confusion that are plaguing the world in the last days and can see that only the true Gospel of Jesus Christ can set things right.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by -Praying every day -Trying to learn from God's word daily -Spending time with my family -Tutoring students who need help -Playing Sports -Watching good movies -Trying to support political actions that help slow the moral decline that is upon us.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Josh Wilson
We believe that Temples are a sacred place where we can feel closer to God than anywhere else on earth. Since they are so sacred, and special we want everyone to be able to go into and experience the blessings of the temple. One of the main things we do in the temple is make covenants (two way promises) with God, to serve him. It is nothing secret, but it is important before people go into the temple that they are living in such a way that they are willing and worthy to make these promises. That doesn't mean that people who go to the temple are perfect; it just means that there are certain important commandments they are keeping, and that they are trying their best to follow the Savior's example. How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Josh Wilson
Official entrance to the LDS church happens the same way it did when Christ and His apostles were on the earth, Baptism by the proper authority and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. To learn more about how to have this happen one just needs to meet with the Mormon missionaries and let them teach more fully about what we believe and then pray and ask God if the things they teach are true. This is how to become a "member" of the Church. Anyone, however, can attend our meetings without any special process or permission. Please come! Show more Show less
