Hi I'm Macie

I am a college graduate, wife, and Mother! I am and love being a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently a stay at home mom. I love it, even though it has been the hardest job that I have had, but it is also the most rewarding!! I love playing the piano, hiking, boating, canoeing, hanging out with my boys, four wheeler and dune buggy riding. My family is most precious to me. I don't know what I would do without them.

Why I am a Mormon

I actually had the privilege of growing up in a Latter Day Saint Home. The gospel has been taught to me throughout my life. I am Mormon not just because I grew up in a Latter Day Saint home, but it is where I feel comfortable and where I feel I need to be. I was baptized when I was eight years old and became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was such a great feeling. I have loved every minute of my life as being a Mormon. I have found that when I am following what our Heavenly Father wants me to do that that's then I feel true joy. Family and friends that I have talked to have their different ways of how they have come to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church. I didn't have an ah moment when I knew that the church was true, I just have little things that remind me daily that I know that it's true. My husband and I and some of his family members one night were talking. We were just talking about how in our lives they become so busy and we tend to forget sometimes what is most important. We decided that we wanted to do something that would help us remember what is most important in our lives, and we decided that we would read the Book of Mormon by the end of 2010. I have been doing it. Reading through The Book of Mormon this time really have been a new experience for me. My brother in law recently returned from being a Full-Time Missionary in New Zealand. When he came home he spoke in church. He talked about how when we read The Book of Mormon we should read it like it is a book, just like any other book that you may read in school or at work, so this time around I have tried to read it more as a "book" rather than something that I just read and felt the spirit while I read it. In The Book of Mormon it can answer any question that you may have in your life. I was reading the other night and it answered a question that I had been wondering about for quite some time. That happens to me almost every time that I read them. That in and of itself is amazing to me. Heavenly Father blesses me daily. My husband and I have had some car problems in the past and my car is not the nicest and probably is going to stop running any day now. My husband and I have been very blessed that our car hasn't stopped working yet. We wouldn't be able to pay for a car with the amount of bills and other expenses that we have right now. Just having a car that actually runs is a blessing in our life and the blessing is coming from our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I go to church every week to renew my covenants that I made when I was baptized when I was eight. My husband and I teach a class in church about once a month, and we LOVE it. The lessons that we teach I feel strengthens us more than it strengthens the people that we are teaching it too. I feel like we have learned a lot being able to teach every month about the basic principles of the church. That's really what our church is all about is just the basics. I am able to go visit ladies that I go to church with and see how they are doing and become great friends with them. I try to help them as much as I can. I love being able to help people out that I associate with at church. There is always such an amazing feeling and blessings that come when you are helping out the ones that you love.
