Hi I'm Shannon

I'm a Mormon. And I'm happy.

About Me

I am currently in my third year of college, studying Humanities. My top priorities in life are my family, my education, and, most importantly, my religion. I have two brothers, two sisters, two wonderful parents, and a passion for reading and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be raised in a family that has a conviction of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Although I was raised in an active LDS family, I still had to make my own decision to be a member of the Church. I have continued to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints not only because I was baptized or because my parents raised me that way, but also because I know for myself that the teachings of the Church are true. I truly believe that God wants us to be happy; He wants us to return to Him. The way that we can attain happiness and a path back to our Heavenly Father is through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints brings me greater joy than anything else in my life. The Gospel as it was at the time of Christ has been restored to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, which, in addition to the Bible, is another testament of the reality and divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ. I love our Savior. I know that Christ completed the Atonement-He died for my sins and sorrows and He died for the sins and sorrows of all mankind. My testimony is everything to me. It is what keeps me going during trials and challenges that are a part of life, and I will never give it up for anything.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith daily. Following the example of the Savior and drawing closer to Heavenly Father is what I try to do every day of my life. I currently attend a student ward where I have the opportunity to try to support other members of the Church in whatever they need help with. I fully sustain the leaders of the Church and try to follow their inspired counsel. The more I strive to live my faith, the happier I am.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?
