Hi I'm Wayne

I am a husband, father, A Scouter, and IT professional... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for twenty-six years (and counting) and am the father of five sons. I grew up in New England, went to school in the western United states, and have lived in Florida for the past 118years. I work as an Information Technology professional. I enjoy the outdoors and am involved in Scouting.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was a raised in the church as a 6th generation decendant of Mormon pioneers, in my early teens I came to know for myself the truthfullness of the Gospel message. I learned then and continue to experience a spiritual affirmation that the Savior Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth by direct, divine revelation. All that is good and wonderful in my life I can attribute to that conviction.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day, not just at church on Sundays. I try to be kind, patient, and helpfull. Like any good Christian I give an honest day's work for my pay. I try to serve God by serving his children. I am involved in Scouting and have participated in community literacy programs. At church, I have taught Sunday School. I have also served as a youth leader for the young men in my congregation as well aa a bishop (= pastor) of my local congregation. I currently serve as the pianist for our Sunday services.

Are Mormons Christians?

Wayne
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I am most definitely Christian. I know that he is the Son of God and that lived and taught as the scriptures relate. I know that he suffered in Gethsemane and died on the cross for the sins of the world and that three days later he was literally resurrected. I know that he fulfilled the will of his Father in all things and that after his death he appeared to many. I try to live my life in such a way as to express my gratitude to him for all that he has done for me andf for all that he makes possible for me and for my family. Show more Show less
