Hi I'm Zach

I'm a student, I'm a Son of God, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student that loves to play, work and all sorts of other fun things. I like camping and Shooting hoops. I also like using the computer for web design and other graphic design and video projects.  I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints(LDS) in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission, which covered about half of Oklahoma, a corner of Arkansas, a large portion of Missouri, and a small corner of Kansas. It was an amazing two years of serving others and bringing the the light of truth to them. I went to a university shortly after I got home from my mission, and have an associates in Website Design and Management, I have since transferred to another university to go for a bachelors in Website Design and Development. I hope to help build the web when I grow up. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the Church, but I have always known that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ existed and loved me, and that They were there for me and could be relied upon for whatever I needed. When I was young I remember when my parents were going through a divorce, it was a pretty hard time. I was around 7 or 8 years old when this was happening and wasn't a member yet. I didn't know a lot about Heavenly Father or how I could talk with Him but I knew that He was there. I knew that people wrote letters to those that were a distance away, so my plan was to write a letter to Heavenly Father and hope that He would get it. I hid the letter under a big pine tree outside my house. I won't put what I wrote in that letter here because I hold that as a sacred moment in my life. I will say this; I know the Lord answered my prayer. He didn't answer it the way I wanted Him to, nor in my time frame but He did answer it. I believe that many blessings came from that prayer and know that one of them was becoming a member of the Lords wonderful Church/kingdom on earth(The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) and I know by the power of the Holy Ghost that its His kingdom on earth and that He leads it through His chosen disciples. I know we have a prophet in our time. I am grateful for the Lord and His mercy upon me. I hope and pray that any who come upon the message of this church will come to know of its truthfulness through the Holy Ghost. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live what I know to be true, by reading scriptures, praying, and going to church. I know that as a person does his/her best, according to their knowledge, to be a good, kind person they are headed in the right path which will lead them to Christ and eternal peace, happiness, and joy.

What is the First Vision?

The First Vision refers to the story of the boy prophet Joseph Smiths first time seeing Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ while in his mortal probation here on earth. They appeared after he prayed to know which church was true, if any at that time(year 1820). Show more Show less

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

The reason many call us mormon or mormons is because of a volume of sacred scripture known as The Book of Mormon that we use hand in hand with the Holy Bible and other modern scriptures. We are officially called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We bare the name of Jesus Christ because it is His Church and Kingdom on earth. Show more Show less
