Hi I'm Hannah
I think the arts, Rascal Flatts, and college football are some of the greatest things in life, and I am a Mormon.
About Me
I spend my days studying, writing papers, and reading textbooks. I am currently majoring in English and would love to teach on a collegiate level, write for a respected media company or sideline anchor for ESPN Sports. My biggest dream in life is to stroll through the streets of Europe, and down the hall of some of the world's greatest art museums and monuments which have helped shape our world and country. My whole life I have been taught to find the good in others, their religion, and treat them as a Child of God because after all, we all are children of a loving Heavenly Father who love us and wants the finest for us.
Why I am a Mormon
Although, I was born to parents who were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, there came a time in my life, I begin to wonder if the teachings I was being taught by them, friends, and church leaders were correct. I knew if Heavenly Father was going to play a role in my life, I needed to act as directed in James 1:5 : "If any of ye lack wisdom, let him ask of God". Having had many trials in my life that have tested my faith, It was during a family vacation to The Sacred Grove, the place where Joseph Smith retired to and prayed to his Heavenly Father to find out which church he should join and in answer saw our Heavenly Father. While visiting, I decided to find out and put to the test for my own self if the things I was being taught was true and if Joseph Smith really honestly saw Heavenly Father and if these events were true, for Heavenly Father to please confirm to me, and I was in the right place, with all of the answers to my questions and would find eternal happiness, and if I was not in the right place for him to give me an answer of which church I shall join. After uttering my prayer, and being prepared for any answer, I felt the most amazing sense of peace come over me, knowing I was right where Heavenly Father wanted me and that he indeed did hear and answer my prayer.
How I live my faith
Through my church callings I am able to live my faith. As a member of the largest womens organization in the world, I have a chance of being assigned several women to visit each month. Each sister ranges in age from 18 years old and up. Each women comes from diffrent walks of life, education levels and abilities. We get to know each other better on a social and spiritual level. Part of my responbilty as their visting teacher, I leave a message from our living prophet to help guide them in returning back to Heavenly Father. Sometimes the messages are on faith, while others focus on strengthening the family.
