Hi I'm Mike

I live in Parker, CO and have a lovely wife, six children and founded two service companies and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 41 years old and married to the love of my life and best friend. We have been blessed with 6 wonderful children ranging in age from 16 (my oldest daughter just started her junior year in high school this year and our youngest is a 5 year old in kindergarten). We have 4 girls and 2 boys with active lifestyles and plenty always going on. I currently manage two different growing service companies; one that builds self-funded group health plans for large companies and the other a medicare compliance, reporting and recovery firm. My beautiful wife currently is the CEO of the house and runs a much tighter ship than I do. She is incredible with our children and continues to draw from her prior experience as a former special education teacher. Both myself and my wife served missions in Porto, Portugal and London, England respectively.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was the sixth child of nine. I was raised with many of the basic teachings of the church and have been active my entire life. I struggled in my youth to know for myself of the truthfulness of the doctrines and principles that I had been reared with. I wanted to know for myself before committing to serve a full-time mission for my church. I found myself retreating in solitude to the canyons and mountains to read, ponder and pray to gain my own personal witness of these truths. While studying the scriptures in one of my favorite spots by a small waterfall in the sunlight all by myself I was reading in the Book of Mormon and took the opportunity to pray. I felt like I was not only speaking through prayer with my Heavenly Father but I felt of His love and of the truthfulness of the words that I had diligently been studying. Through thousands of experiences similar to this both on my mission and in my day-to-day life, I have grown in my faith, understanding and knowledge of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and I know with a certainty of the truthfulness of all these things. I love my faith and attribute many if not all of my current levels of happiness and success to obedience to the truths I have learned as a member of this great church. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and know that his atoning sacrifice enables me to do things I otherwise could not do. I greatly value and hold to not simply the doctrines, but the ordinances, including my eternal sealing and marriage to my beautiful wife coupled with the knowledge that my family and I can be together forever. I love to attend and serve in the Temple and encourage all I know to go to the Temple to feel of the spirit that resides and accompanies such dedicated facilities. I love to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and want to share with all I encounter.

How I live my faith

Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ I believe is an active thing. As a family we get together at 5:45 a.m. to read and study the scriptures over breakfast. We then kneel as a family in family prayer and pray for specific needs of each family member before we all head out into the world to meet their various challenges and commitments. Currently, I am blessed to serve as an early morning seminary teacher. I teach 16 incredible high school freshman that faithfully meet each morning from 6:20 to 7:10 a.m. Monday through Friday before they head over for a full day of high school. I work to prepare about 7 - 9 hours of personal study a week diving into the Old Testament, New Testament or Book of Mormon in preparation for class. I feel the Spirit and specific direction from the Lord on what he might have me share with these wonderful youth each day and week. I strive to participate in service experiences and love to share the gospel with friends and associates. From a business perspective I have business partners that are Mormons as well and we strive to be very open about who we are and what we stand for. We are happy to be held accountable for our business practices. We want all that deal with us to know of our desire to be of high integrity and ethical. We love and celebrate those that have joined our firm with their diverse backgrounds, religious beliefs and personal convictions.
