Hi I'm John

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father of two boys. I am a stay at home dad. I like to do any athletic activities (Basketball, football, golf, hiking, etc.). My favorite thing to do is to spend time with my boys. I enjoy construction as a hobby and occupation.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon for many reasons. When I was 19 years old I saw my life going down a path I didn't want. I was influenced by the Light of Christ to change my ways and seek the truth. I was becoming curious about religion even though I was born and raised a Methodist. My best friend invited me to learn about The Mormon Church. I studied with the missionaries, my best friend and his parents. For some reason it did not spark any action. However, a few months later my best friend went on a 2 year mission for the Savior. I then became more interested in the Church. I continued to study about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with my friend's parents and the missionaries. I was baptized on February 23, 1999 into the Church and a year later served a 2 year mission for the Savior. One of the most significant reasons for being a Mormon is that I came to know for myself through the Holy Ghost that it is actually the Savior's Church on the earth. The spirit testified to me and continually testifies to me that the Church is set up the same way it was set up when Christ was on the earth and that Christ is at the head of it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by fulfilling responsibilities in the Church. My main responsibility is to assist the Missionaries in sharing the gospel. I get to go with the missionaries and teach people about the Church.
