Hi I'm Kathleen

I am a High School Principal and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a High School Principal for two Alternative High Schools for kids who haven't been successful in their traditional schools. I am married with three children. My oldest daughter and son are both married and my youngest son is serving a mission. I have four grandchildren and a great husband. I measure the seasons of the year in terms of football season, basketball season, and summer (off season).

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in a loving Heavenly Father who created a plan where I can return to live with Him and my family. The Mormon belief of eternal families and eternal progression is unique as an organized religion. Knowing the purpose of this earthly existence combined with personal spiritual confirmation, is the reason that my religious convicitions are strong.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed many opportunities for growth through a variety of church assignments. I am sing with the ward choir. Music is used in all of our worship services. Music testifies of the Spirit. Music is creative and re-energizes my soul. I also serve as a Visiting Teacher. In this service, I visit at least monthly in the homes of a couple of other women in my ward and we discuss a gospel topic and share our testimonies with each other.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

We believe that we are created in the image of God. We beleive that God has a body that is glorified. We believe that God is eternal, as are we. We believe that He is loving, kind, compassionate. He allowed us to experience growth with physical bodies as part of our eternal progression. We believe that God is the Father of Jesus Christ and they are separate and distinct beings.
