Hi I'm Liam

I'm a husband, I work for a young person's mental health charity, I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am someone who loves to laugh, loves to talk and be social. I love meeting new people and hearing about their lives, the good and the bad. I hope I am a person who brighten's up the lives of others. I am a kind, fun and energetic individual. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all of my life and much like most life members, there were times in my younger years when i had questions about the gospel, the church and the existence of a Heavenly Father, but I never felt alone, even when literally i was. I have never been perfect at living what I know to be true, but I still know that for me or anyone to be truly, eternally happy we have to keep trying to live what the gospel teaches. I am the youngest of 6 sons, all of my brothers served full time mission's for the church, I did not. It was a decision which at that time I felt was right but it has become the biggest regret in my life. I have faith in my God and in my Lord, Jesus Christ that as i am obedient with exactness the Spirit will direct me. I am married to a beautiful daughter of God. She has been such a blessing in my life, which I know came from God. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ, I am grateful for his atonement.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel, but as most teenager's there is a time for exploration of feelings and truth.I explored things which did not pertain to the gospel of Christ and i felt unhappy, but never felt alone. I felt like i was having fun but there was no eternity to that fun. A few years ago my niece died at birth and my sister in law had an experience that she shared with me that changed my life. The Spirit i felt when she was sharing this experience with me I WILL NEVER DENY. I know where that feeling came from and who it came from and I have never looked back. I know i still have weaknesses like everyone does, but i feel happier in the eternal sense knowing that i am trying every day to be a better person. That is why i am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that Christ died for me and for everyone else. He died for me in spite of my weaknesses. I know He loves me and i know He loves anybody no matter who they are or what they have done. He has a perfect knowledge of love and what it truly is and He emulates that in every way. I know that every person who lives a mortal life chose Christ's plan of happiness and has the potential to become as God is. I am a Mormon so I can live with God again!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to follow the example of my Lord Jesus Christ. I follow his example by being compassionate, forgiving, patient and loving to all I come into contact with. I use the characteristics God blessed me with to help and support young people who are struggling in life. I do this not because it pays well, because it doesn't, but because I believe it is where and what i am supposed to be doing. I love helping people, it is what I love to do.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Not any more. We believe in being faithful to the covenants we make at marriage which includes fideity to our husband/wife. We did at one stage practice polygamy but through revelation from God we stopped over 100 years ago. Show more Show less

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

The Prophet of the Church is the most senior apostle in the Church and also serves as the President of the church. Today our Prophet is President Thomas S Monson whom i bear witness too as being Gods servent in these latter days. Show more Show less
