Hi I'm Bob

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a very happily married grandfather of 8. My wife and I have lived in Minnesota for the past 22 years. Both my wife and I transfered to Minnesota as a part of our employment in the electronic component distribution industry. We have raised our 5 children in Minnesota and spending as much time with them was what made up most of our personal interests. The kids were all actively involved in sports in school. Our children are moving along in their careers, one as a police officer in Miami, one works with doctors on hearing aids, another in the insurance industry and one in electronic component purchasing. The last of our crew is attending a major university in the west.

Why I am a Mormon

Like many others of our faith I have developed a strong testimony of the divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ and his atonment for all of mankind. I have loved my associaton with the church because of the strong focus of families and for the benefit that have come to my family through an active engagement in church youth programs, We have personally developed strong testimonies as we have been involved with inspired programs designed to help people young and old to come unto Christ. It has been great to have our children involved in activities with youth and youth leaders who are good friends and examples and terrific role models. Our children have developed great relationships with their leaders that have lasted through the years. Our children are all married now and have established families. They are serving, where possible, in volunteer assignments that return to others that which they have learned. It is true, parents don't just raise children, they are raised by all whom they come in contact with on a regular basis. We have been lucky to have them connected with good people in and out of our church

How I live my faith

Its pretty simple, we stay involved, our family goes to church as often as possible and we willingly accept assignments that come our way. We have loved serving others and the blesssings we ultimately receive in our family from doing so. We try to be good friends and neighbors. We try to stay active in civic affairs. My wife and I love our business associations and we enjoy spending time with our friends at work, many who are not of our faith today. I serve in the leadership of our ward and Shirley loves her calling as a teacher in the womens organization. We have great neighbors and we learn from them..

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

I can hardly imagine what life would be like if there were no hope of being together as a family for eternity. My wife and I believe we have been sealed together and that the bands of death in this life are not the end. We also believe that we have the opportunity to be with our entire family in the hereafter. Show more Show less
