Hi I'm Sara

I play and teach violin. I am a mother of one little boy and divorced. I love being a mom! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 38 and a mother of one sweet little 10 month old boy. He is my life right now. I am learning to explore life from a brand new perspective as I watch him discover the world around him for the first time. Things like feeling the bark from a tree trunk, inspecting a leaf or pine cone, or petting a dog. I love sharing with him my love of music. I introduce him to several different kinds of instruments and music. Scrapbooking is a fun hobby for me, however, I don't have much time to do that now. I am learning there is a time and season for everything. For now, I store all of his precious photos on my computer and I'm sure another season will come that will allow me to put it all together. Hiking is another favorite. The mountains and nature is refreshment to my mind and spirit.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. I continue to be active in the church because I believe in its teachings. I believe Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and I believe that President Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet of God now. I am grateful that I have an understanding of the purpose of where I came from, why I am here on earth and what will happen after this life. Understanding these concepts help me to face the hard times and difficult circumstances with hope rather than despair.

How I live my faith

I play the piano for the young women's class every Sunday. I contact or visit four women each month and share an uplifting message from the church with them. At this time I check to see if there is a way I can be of service to them.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Sara
The "Word of Wisdom" is that we don't drink alcohol, tea or coffee, or take recreational drugs, or smoke. We follow this health code to keep our bodies healthy. We believe that God gave us this commandment, not to inhibit us, but because He cares about us and wants us to keep our bodies as healthy as possible. Show more Show less
