Hi I'm Adrienne!

I'm a wife, a mother of six children, a violinist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I met in college, where I majored in violin performance. After our marriage in an LDS Temple, we soon embarked on the grand adventure called parenthood! My husband and I have a daughter and five sons. Grateful for the chance to fulfill my childhood dream, motherhood stretches me and gives me great joy. With six young children, watching them grow in their capacities from birth as they learn to use their bodies and minds fascinates me! I also marvel at each of their unique personalities and talents and stand in awe of our loving God who created each individual so distinct and special. I play the violin in our local symphony, which has provided a great way for me to connect with my community and keep somewhat "up" on my skills. For me, the joy of playing or listening to the great music of such masters as Beethoven, Mozart, or Bach never dulls. I love spending time with my family. I love getting to know people. Some of my other interests include cooking, reading, jogging and gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a pioneer heritage - - my ancestors embraced the Gospel of Jesus Christ and acted on their faith by being baptized and following the precepts they knew in their heart to be true. This legacy of faith was passed down to me, and I, like my ancestors, gained my own conviction of the truths of the Gospel found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives me and my family the tools we need to lead a happy life and progress in our journey back to our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith each day by being a loving wife and mother and kind to all. I seek the Lord's guidance each day as I pray and study the scriptures; our family does the same. This helps us grow closer to our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. At church, I conduct the choir and arrange for special music in our Sunday services.

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in Jesus Christ. The first Article of Faith (the Prophet Joseph Smith's explanation of our beliefs as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) states: "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." To me, having faith in Jesus Christ means that I believe He is my Savior - - that because of Him, I can repent of my sins. It also means that no matter what challenges in life I face, Jesus Christ will not leave me alone; He will help me face my trials. Because of my faith in Jesus Christ, I know I can improve each day; He helps me and strengthens me. Show more Show less
