Hi I'm Cody

Father of 5, Business Owner and Triathlete. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 5 and married for 15 years to the love of my dreams Nichole. Growing up in southern Idaho I worked with my Dad in his buisness welding and building farm equipment. I graduated from college in Mechanical engineering. I worked on Sea Launch and helped launch 8 commercial Satellites into space. I now own my own business in sales and online product marketing. Now in my free time I like to race triathlons and long distance running and biking. I completed a full Ironman in May of 2010 in St George UT and have completed 6 other 70.3 mile triathlons.

Why I am a Mormon

I read the book of Mormon when I was 19 and prayed about Joseph Smith. I still remember the feelings of my heart and how every hair of my head was alive. I almost felt like my skin was on fire. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to translate the Book of Mormon and reorganize the true church of God on the earth.

How I live my faith

I love to serve in the church. I work with the young men of the church in our area. I work with the young men on their fulfilling their Duty to God which is a church program to teach young men to trust and have faith in God. Then when they are older they will be righteous husbands and fathers. In the church we are also highly involved in the Boy Scouts of America. As a family with teach our kids the gospel by studding the scriptures every morning before school. We also say prayers and sing a song as a family before breakfast. This has become a fun tradition and my little girls walk around singing songs like "I love to see the temple" I look for opportunities to serve our neighbors and help others that are members of the church or non members. Every winter we get together with other member of the church and haul wood for the elderly and help people move in and out of the area. Mostly I live my faith by being an example of someone who believes in Jesus Christ. He is my savior and redeemer. I know that someday I will stand face to face with him. My hope is that he will say "Come unto me, ye blessed, there is a place prepared for you in the mansions of my Father." This is the sincere desire of my heart. So I really just live my life trying to live the commandments mostly the 2 greatest which is to love God and my fellow man.
