Hi I'm Julianna

I'm a wife, a mother & a secretary . I'm an avid puzzler and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 39, married, we have three boys, ages almost 2, 11 & 15. I am a secretary for two spinal surgeon, I love my patients and my job. I LOVE to read & to work crossword puzzles & other mind puzzles (LOVE Scrabble). I also like to crosstich, fish, hunt, spend time with my family (immediate & extended) and I'm learning to crochet beaded bangle bracelets. I love to have friends over to watch movies and/or play games ~ just spending time with loved ones no matter what we're doing is awesome!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church. I became inactive when I was 18yo along with my family, after a trying time in our lives. I did things I knew I shouldn't have been doing, but I called myself "being happy." Looking back now, I never was. I decided to return to the Church after I felt my grandmother's presence (she had died many years earlier) & disappointment in a particular sin I was having trouble with. I felt that she would be upset with me for not staying true to the gospel so that when I was old enough, I could take her & my grandfather's names to the temple & have their ordinances done for them by ME personally. I broke up with a current boyfriend, started attending Institute and felt such love and acceptance by others my age that I soon started coming back to Sunday church as well - little by little. I came to a Single's Conference in Jackson MS with a friend who had been recently divorced, and there, met my future husband. We have been married now for almost 17 years & I thank Heavenly Father everyday for the forgiveness he gives to me continually & for a Return Missionary who did not run away when I told him of all that I had done previously. I know that this Church & the Gospel is Real. I know that My Heavenly Father and elder brother Jesus Christ exist and that Jesus died for me so that I could repent. I love this gospel & all that we believe in. And I am grateful for the fact that when we 'mess up' we can always return to a Father who loves us & wants what is best for us.

How I live my faith

I serve in the women's organization in my local branch of our church. I try to live worthily of the blessings I've been given by listening to our church magazines and the scriptures when I'm alone in the car THANK HEAVEN for the modern technology that allows this!!!. My husband and I try to go to every meeting we are asked to attend, and we teach our boys that this is what is meant by promises we've made to give of our "time, talents, and means," so that as they grow older, they will be able to look back at our hopefully good examples and choose to live their lives accordingly.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

I believe that ALL we have in our lives has been given to us on loan from Our Father in Heaven. He has asked us to give Him back 10% (tithing) to prove our love and devotion to Him. These tithes help our church continue to provide our buildings and temples. And allow us to provide service to the world through humanitarian efforts when needed. Show more Show less

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

I, we, believe that life begins at the moment of conception. I also believe that to end that life is murder of an innocent being. Show more Show less
