Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Oregon. I want to be a doctor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I grew up in Oregon, I loved playing all kinds of sports: soccer, baseball, swimming, football, and track. As a result, I love watching football and basketball games! I also learned to play instruments and played the trumpet in our high school band. After one year of college, I served a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cordoba, Argentina. I love Argentina and so many of the people there. When I came home just a little over a year ago, I met a wonderful girl and we were married in the Salt Lake Temple. I currently go to college at Brigham Young University and study microbiology. I want to raise a family and become doctor in the near future.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I want to follow my Lord, Jesus Christ. He suffered and died so that all mankind can be saved. It is only through Him that we can receive the greatest blessings of all. Those blessings are to live with our Heavenly Father and also with our families forever. Being a member of His Church means to follow Him and strive to be like He is. I know that I am not perfect, but I know that if I have faith, He can make my weaknesses strengths. I know that this is His church and that He has called living prophets to guide us in these last days.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping those in need just as Christ did. A member who lives nearby and I visit a couple of families in our congregation every month and teach them. We talk about their needs and how we can help, and do those things that are needed. I also organize teachers for Sunday and occasionally teach. Our Sunday classes are meant to uplift and teach us truths about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
