Hi I'm Kjirsti

I sing, garden, write, renovate, run and bake. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an opera singer, home renovator, blogging enthusiast, travel lover and gardener. My husband and I have a one year old baby boy whom we adore!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because the things I have been taught in this church bring me great happiness and peace. Reading the scriptures and the words of latter-day prophets give me guidance that helps me focus on what is truly important in life. As a result of living like a Mormon I have the Spirit in my life, and I have peace and calm even in this crazy world.

How I live my faith

I teach Sunday school to the youth in my congregation. I love it! It allows me to mentor and share my feelings about my Savior. I have developed a love and concern for each of my students, and my relationships with them enriches my life. I also teach voice lessons to students of a variety of ages. While this isn't a "church calling" it has given me the opportunity to help others build confidence in themselves and learn to do something beautiful that they can share with the world.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Kjirsti
We believe that the Bible is the word of God, and regard it as Holy Scripture. Two years ago I taught an early morning scripture study class to high school students at my church. We studied the New Testament. Reading and teaching from the Bible everyday increased my faith in Jesus Christ and the reality of his mortal ministry. He lived and still lives! Show more Show less
