Hi I'm Marcos

I'm a Brazilian, I am a college student, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Marcos, I was born and raised in Brazil, and I am currently in the United States going to college. I like reading, writing, and having lots of fun with my friends, just like any other college student. I love singing, and I love listening to Brazilian music, because it reminds me of home. I also love different cultures, and I think every one of them has its own beauty.

Why I am a Mormon

I was actually introduced to the church while I was here in America. Before going to college, I lived here as an exchange student for a couple of months. I lived with a special family. They were different from other families I knew in Brazil and they were even different than other families in America. They had a special feeling inside their home. I learned about the gospel, and I learned that I was feeling the Holy Ghost in the sacred atmosphere of the home. I went back to Brazil and got baptized. This sacred ordinance opened the doors to beautiful blessings in my life.

How I live my faith

As members of the church, we are always counseled to be charitable. I strive to cherish all my friends through little acts of kindness. In the church, I give support to other members through a program called home teaching, and I seek to help them in their needs and difficulties. We help our communities to be better places, and we do our best "to clothe the naked, and to feed the hungry, and to liberate the captive, and administer relief to the sick and the afflicted" (Jacob 2:19).

What is the Law of Chastity?

Marcos
The Law of Chastity is a sacred law that God gave to His children in order to protect and bless us. The Law of Chastity is about not having any kind of sexual relations before marriage, and also means fidelity to your spouse after being married. The Lord blesses us immensely when we keep this law. Staying morally clean is a way to show our love for Him, and a way the keep the sacredness of family and marriage, which are two of the most beautiful things for Him. Show more Show less
