Hi I'm Josh Snyder

I'm half South African. I'm half Jewish. I love candy and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am living the life of a college student right now. Studying and having a great time. I am going to be going into International Relations. I would like to work as a seminary teacher for the LDS church or if that does not work out then the State Department of the United States. I love laidback, peaceful music, such as, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Gavin Degraw and Jason Mraz. Those are my favorites but I can essentialy listen to anything. I love sports and anything outdoors. My true sport would have to be lacrosse. I have played since I was in the third grade. But, nonetheless, I play anything I can get my hands on; tennis, rugby, football, swimming, hiking, climbing and lots more. If you had me decide between a t.v show and playing in a sports game, you know where I would be. The craziest thing I have ever done in my life would have to be Great White Shark Cage diving in South Africa. That was awesome. I loved it. I even touched the animal when it swam ontop of our cage. The reason I was back in South Africa was because that was where I was born, in Pretoria, the capital. I have also lived in Australia, Ecuador, Virginia and Utah. I love my family and spending time with them. I am and always will be a family man. I am the oldest sibling of a total of 4. Two boys and two girls and we are all close to each other...most of the time. Although the best part of my life just came with a marriage to 'The Jessica Simons' (now Snyder)!!!!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am 22 years old and am the happiest I have ever been in my life. I am a Mormon because it is the source of my happiness. Being a mormon does not teach you to find happiness in anything except Christ. He is my Savior and despite the hard things of this world, a faith in Christ can make any dark clouds move away for the sunshine. I have made plenty of mistakes before, but I know that through Christ we can all become better people and return to our Heavenly Father. Christ is the "author and finisher of my faith." I know the Bible is scripture and the word of God and I also know that God will always desire to speak to his children. He has given us anouther book of scripture called the Book of Mormon, anouther testament of Jesus Christ. I know this book, the Book of Mormon, is true scripture because I have read it and prayed to God and asked if it is true. He has told me through his Holy Spirit it is! This church is the same church that Christ established 2000 years ago in the New Testament. That chuch fell away after the killing of his ancient apostles and the loss of that sacred authority. But I know that in the year 1820, God called a prophet named Joseph Smith, brought back that authority and that church and here I am today. The happiest I have ever been. Knowing that this church is Christs church is something etched deep into my soul. Christ is my everything and his gospel housed in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon Church) is what helps me to become like him. He has always given his gospel in an organized manner and that is through his church, this church. The way to know if any of this is true is by asking the author of all truth, God. I invite you to know for yourself and be the happiest you will be. It is found in this Church. Christs Church!

How I live my faith

I try my best to live to a good life. To be good to my wife and be a good Christian. I realize that at the end of the day I always come up short. I know that I am forever indebted to my Savior, Jesus Christ. I try to live my life as He did and does. I read the scriptures, the Book of Mormon and the Bible to learn how to be better each day. I treasure my relationship with God and make it a point to communicate with Him daily and to be the best son I can to Him. I love God. I love Christ and I love this Church. His church and I want to live with my Heavenly Father again some day. That is why I live my faith. That is why I am a mormon.
