Hi I'm Steph

I used to play college volleyball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to college on a volleyball scholarship and studied English Education. I enjoy traveling within the States and also in other countries. I like to exercise and eat right. I have a deaf sister and learned ASL for her. I taught school for a year, but my husband and I are expecting our first baby so I will be a full time mom in just a short while.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon (or member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints) because it gives me the tools to live a Christ centered life. Being a member enables me to enter the temple which is where families are made eternal. I love nothing more in life than my husband, baby, parents, and siblings.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday with my family. I have the responsibility to play the piano for the children's' Sunday school each week. The songs are about the Savior and how we can follow him. The children sing the songs they learn in an annual program for the congregation, and I accompany them.

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

There are several differences between attending the church and the temple. Anyone is welcome to attend the church. We love visitors! Anyone can visit the temple too IF they are baptized members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints and are in good standing. Many temples have visitor centers on the grounds for those not of the Mormon faith. The temple is a very sacred place. It is where families become eternal through temple marriages. Show more Show less
