Hi I'm Scott

"I grew up in the United States, served in the Army, have a bachelors degree in Sociology, and I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I'm a disabled veteran, a retired social worker, a husband with 5 kids, 4 boys and a daughter. I love to work in the yard, I've just started working on my genealogy, I read a lot, fish, and ride a bike for exercise.

Why I am a Mormon

I read the Book of Mormon and follow Moroni's counsel found in Moroni 10:3-5, that's why I'm a Mormon. It's as simple as that!

How I live my faith

I do my best to keep the commandments, follow the teachings of Christ and His anointed Prophets, and do my best to love God and serve my fellow being.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Scott
Christ told those who would be His followers that they were to give meat to the hungry and drink to those that thirst-that we are to love and care for each other. Through the Church's welfare program much of this is accomplished. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Scott
The temples are the houses of the Lord. They are sacred and holy places. One must be a member and meet the standers and qualification to enter the temple. It's sacred not secret. Life saving ordinances are preformed for the living and the dead. Eternal marriages and baptism for the dead are two ordinances that are preformed in the temple. This is why genealogy is so important to the Mormon people. Show more Show less
