Hi I'm Eric

I'm a husband. I'm a father. I'm a biologist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married since 2008 and our daughter was born in 2010. I have a degree in cellular and molecular biology and continue to seek after more education and higher degrees. I served in the Salt Lake City mission and could not have asked for a more concentrated or in depth study of the gospel. As my wife and I prepare for life we never forget to center ourselves in Christ Himself.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel it to be true, and I have it confirmed everyday. The gospel encompasses all truth, therefore all truth is gospel. I feel pure and perfect science will coincide with pure and perfect religion and the LDS church embraces scientific facts. Brigham Young once said, "we differ from the Christian world, for our religion will not clash with or contradict the facts of science" (JOD 14:116). This statement and many like it have encouraged my quest for knowledge through science which helps me understand the laws of the universe and in turn helps me understand a part of the character of Jesus Christ and His Father.

How I live my faith

I chose as a child to commit my life to obeying the commandments of the Savior. I find it easier everyday to be more like Christ than the day before, even if it makes me strange or outdated. I choose not to watch T.V. or listen to anything demeaning (including people). I do my best at living simply and try to help others unburden themselves from their destructive behaviors.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Eric
As a marriage, or a family, is focused in Jesus Christ then there is a sure foundation, or common ground, that the rest of the relationship can build on. If each individual has a personal relationship with the Savior and follows their convictions, or personal testimony of the truth of the gospel, then selfishness , malice, envy, ect... will diminish in the home and then love, hope, and togetherness will prevail.
