Hi I'm Dallin Lewis

I love to sing, forecast the weather, and tutor. I graduated in Meteorology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley and I've lived in Murray for most of my life. I studied Atmospheric Science (Meteorology) and Mass Communication-TV Journalism at the University of Utah and I now have a dual bachelor's degree. I am also a member of the American Meteorological Society. There was a time I wanted to be a Television Meteorologist, but my love for teaching has lead me to a career in education. I currently teach math at Brighton High School in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. I am receiving my teaching license and Masters in Secondary Education through Utah State University. I love most things outdoors - bike riding, skiing, camping, fishing, hiking, and canyoneering. I also enjoy watching movies and singing. I'm fluent in Portuguese, having served an LDS mission to Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a young single adult is difficult- especially in this day and age when there is so much competition and much is expected of us. I grew up in the LDS church, but didn't feel I was fully converted until I reached my 20s. I always did what was expected, but I soon found myself looking in another direction. To make a long story short, I can empathize with many who have left the church for one reason or another. However, I know that I am happiest when I live the gospel of Jesus Christ as taught in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that God loves me and he expects much of me. I have many friends in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I feel wanted and included. When I go to church each week I can feel sanctified by the Spirit of the Lord as I listen, learn, and participate.

How I live my faith

I have been an EFY (Especially for Youth) counselor for five years. I love teaching youth. I currently serve as the music leader for the children of our congregation.
