Hi I'm Lance

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for eight years. We have two little boys, ages 6 and 3. I am also currently a law student and trying to balance out this busy schedule with spending time with my family. It is possible to do well in law school and not completely isolate yourself from the ones you love. While its a struggle to get in that family time, its worth every minute.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because its True. Jesus Christ restored his church and all of his teachings; the things we need to know in order to live with him again. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ not because my parents told me to believe, not because my friends were believers, not even because my wife believes; I am a Mormon because I prayed to God and asked him if the Book of Mormon was true and if Joseph Smith restored Christ's church and if Jesus actually lives and I was told that all those things were true. That is why I am a Mormon. It doesn't matter what society says, or what popular trends or culture says because Heavenly Father has spoken to me and that is enough.

How I live my faith

It's not easy. I live a life peculiar to those around me. What makes it easier is having my family with me along the way. We support each other and lift each other up. I also have fellow members of the church to support me and give me sustenance. Most importantly I have Heavenly Father and his love that he shares with me through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We don't worship Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith was the first prophet of these times and he helped to restore the true gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. We do revere him for his life and his works, but do not worship him in any way. He was just a man, but a great one who did so much for this world. Show more Show less

What is the Law of Chastity?

Mormons do not have sexual relations outside of marriage. Not only that, but we avoid all things that would denegrate the sanctity of sex (such as pornography, improper movies, etc.). Show more Show less
