Hi I'm Steven

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a junior in college studying business management with an emphasis in supply chain management. I love to play basketball, tennis, and any other sport. I frequent college sporting events with all my friends. I also enjoy playing the piano and singing. I can often be spotted singing my heart out to the car radio or making my own tunes beat-boxing. I great day for me would end with a game of Settlers of Catan with all my family. We love to spend time together and love to play games.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a broad range of interests and pursuits and the Gospel of Jesus Christ helps me to balance my life and maintain an eternal perspective. I was born and raised a Mormon but being a Mormon is a very personal choice. I am a Mormon because I have felt the spirit confirm to me that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. My belief doesn't stem from just one or two spiritual experiences but rather a continual spirit I feel in my life. Being a Mormon brings light into my life.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is a daily commitment for me. Conversion is a process and not an event. We all face struggles and trials but we have the choice of how to respond. I strive to serve others to hopefully help lessen their unseen burdens. I choose to be optimistic and hopeful for the future.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is scripture comparable to the Bible. It was written by ancient prophets in the Americas, stored for a period of time, and then brought forth today to benefit our lives. The Book of Mormon teaches the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, especially explaining and clarifying the Lord's plan for our salvation. Not only does the Book of Mormon teach me doctrine, but it brings peace and comfort to me every day. Each morning before I leave for my 8am class I read from the Book of Mormon. By reading the word of God before I start my day I feel the Lord's guidance and peace. The days I ponder the prophet's words found in the the Book of Mormon I feel the stresses of life lessen. I feel the strength of the Lord helping me to become a more qualified and better individual. Show more Show less
