Hi I'm Jocelyn

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In otherwords .... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello. I was born and raised in Utah. I have been married for over one year now. My husband is currently serving in the Navy so we move around quite a bit and are currently located in Virginia. I am taking courses to finish up my Asscociates Degree in Generals because I still have no clue what I want to do yet. I enjoy a variety of things, but mostly spending time with friends and family. So, this is me.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon household. Learning the teachings from a very young age. Around the age of 14 I began to strengthen my testimony about the truthfulness of the church. I took on the challenge of reading the Book Of Mormon cover to cover. In the last book there is a promise given to those seeking truth. Moroni 10:4-5. "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort your that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." After reading that promise I got on my knees and asked to know that the things which I had read were true. I felt peace and comfort that what I just read was true. As I continue the read and study from the Book of Mormon I know that I will continue to feel and know that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through teaching the young children songs each Sunday. I lead the music in my ward and enjoy hearing the children sing. When they sing there is an automatic feeling of peace and comfort from the Holy Ghost.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

The purpose of this life is to gain a body of flesh. As well as to learn and grow so that someday we can return to our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
