Hi I'm Sarah

I am a college graduate and a stay-at-home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to dance, read, play soccer, sew, and take pictures. I used to make costumes for plays before I served a full time mission for the LDS Church. I served my mission in New Jersey teaching in the Spanish language.  Also I am a wife and mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I love truth. The more I study and apply it's teachings in my life the greater I understand the essential truths of life and am able to have a peace in my life that is lasting.

How I live my faith

I love helping others learn about their family history. The LDS Church has provided me with the opportunity to teach classes on how to do your family history. I really enjoy watching others discover things about their family that they didn't know before. Knowing more about my ancestors has helped me better understand who I am and made me more grateful for all that they did so that I could have the blessings of an education, shelter and a good job. Also it has given me the desire to help others obtain these blessing as well.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Sarah
I have had some very hard things happen to me in my life and for a time wondered if there was a God. It got to the point that I was very unhappy with my life. That is when I decided that I was going to find out once and for all if there was a God and if He did care about me. I had been taught to pray as a young girl. I decided I was going to pray and ask God if He cared about me and would help me to be happy again. I wen to a quiet place where I could be alone and prayed out loud for the first time in a very long time. As I spoke with God I explained how I felt and asked Him to give me peace. I told Him that I was willing to change the way I was living if it would help me to be at peace. Before I could finish praying I felt comfort and peace wash over me. I knew in that moment that there was a God, He had heard me and that He did care. Since that day I have turned to Him in prayer many times for guidance and peace and each time I received it. To put it directly the best way to know for yourself is to pray and establish your own relationship with Him. Show more Show less
