Hi I'm Kim

I'm a wife, mother, and Ph.D. in Special Education. I live in Utah. I love life and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Me...I am a mother and a wife. A former teacher by trade, I now spend my time taking care of my home, four wonderful children, and my husband. I earned a Ph.D. in Special Education and love the field. I plan to return to it someday. I serve as a Young Woman's President in my ward. I love to travel, read, run, budget, and bake.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon? Hmm.. the first answer to this question would be because I was born in a Mormon family. My parents raised me with an example of love and service. As I grew in the Mormon church I came to understand the teaching myself. Some might say that I had no choice and I knew no other way? I would say that I have always known. I have never, not once, questioned that I had a Heavenly Father who loved me, who wanted what is best for me, and cared about me. As I grew in service and knowledge in the Mormon Church I gradually developed a deep and personal witness that the teaching were true. I came to understand for myself that Joseph Smith did indeed restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the Earth. I knew that I had a loving Savior, Jesus Christ, who sacrificed for me. I felt the blessing of the gift of the Holy Ghost. As I read and studied the Book of Mormon I had a personal Witness that its teachings were true and that it is another witness of Jesus Christ. I believe that we have living Prophet on the earth. I love the Mormon Church. I am blessed abundantly. I value my membership in it. It provides and anchor for me about life and death, about family and values, and about morals and ethics. The more I serve and study the more I come to understand that true happiness comes from a loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the example provided by Jesus Christ. I try to serve my family, friends, neighbors, and members of my church ward. I enjoy serving in a variety of positions in my church. Participating in Sunday worship and Temple Worship brings me peace.

Who are the Mormons?

Who are the Mormon? We are everywhere!! We are your neighbors, your friends, we work with you, and we study with you. We are Christians. We believe in Jesus Christ, his Father, and the Holy Ghost. We are baptized into our church and believe that service in it is crucial. We worship in churches and temples. We believe in the Book of Mormon that it is an additional Witness of Jesus Christ. We believe in Joseph Smith that he restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. We also believe that we have a living Prophet today who guides and directs us. We focus on family, service, and moral living. We try to be good neighbors, good friends, and good coworkers. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is central to the plan of God. Marriage was designed by god for the happiness of us on earth and as a way to bring children into the world. It breaks my heart that some in the world no longer value the marriage between a man and a woman. To me my greatest joy comes from a loving marriage and a commitment to my children.
