Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mother of four crazy, fun, beautiful girls. I love all sports; especially basketball, volleyball, swimming, hiking, waterskiing, snowboarding. I also enjoy exercise, nutrition, travel, photography, interior design, reading, learning, creating and hanging out with my family. I have a B.S. in Exercise Science. I enjoy racing for fun and have competed in 5k's up to a half marathon, though my favorites are sprint triathlons. I have lived in Arizona, Utah, Mexico, Maryland and New York.

Why I am a Mormon

I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and His teachings and plan of salvation bring me peace and happiness. In a world where there is increasing turmoil and evil, I am so grateful for the teachings of the gospel to give my life direction, and provide guidance as we raise our children in these difficult times. As I follow the Savior's teachings found in the Book of Mormon and from the words of living prophets today I feel my life has purpose and I enjoy a personal relationship with a loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I attend Sunday meetings to renew my covenants made at baptism that I will try my best to follow the example of my Savior by serving and loving others around me. I try each day to be a better wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and neighbor.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Our bodies are called temples because they are sacred vessels that house our spirits. Everyone on the earth is a spirit child of our Heavenly Father. He gave us the gift of our bodies and wants us to keep them clean and pure, free from harmful addictions and activities. By doing so we will be worthy to claim promised blessings found in the scriptures. Show more Show less
